The 3285 Micro-Groove door features four evenly spaced micro-grooves that run horizontally across each section. These double-sided panels have 26 gauge steel on the front and 27 gauge steel on the back, enhancing structural sturdiness. These - and all C.H.I. panels - have tongue-and-groove joints. They are also insulated with an environmentally safe CFC-free, polystyrene core giving the door an R-value of 8.72. The polystyrene insulation is secured in place with a urethane adhesive to increase structural integrity.
